“LIFE is an adventure….Just explore it…!!!” True words…. Trekking is one such adventure to know about nature. In dictionary words, A trek is a long, adventurous journey undertaken on foot in areas where common means of transport are generally not available. 



 If you are looking for such an (trekking) adventure around Bangalore, there are few best treks around Bangalore is mentioned here.

Savandurga :

The highest monolith in Asia, Savandurga comprises of two hills, Karigudda (Black Hill) and Biligudda (White Hill).It is located approximately 33 km away from Bangalore, deviating off Magadi road. Savana Durga that rises to a height of 4050ft above the sea, can be a challenge as you climb up the smooth monolith.


In History Savandurga was named as ‘Savina Durga’ which means ‘the fort of death’. At the time of Hyder Ali, this hill used to be as a fort prison, from which it was said there was no escape.This place is also a pilgrimage center as it is the location of two temples in the foothills – the Veerbhadraswamy Temple and the Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple. At the top of Biligudda, you can find a small shrine to Nandi bull. The Manchanabele Reservoir, created by the waters of the Akravathy River, is a lovely place from which you can get an enticing view of the Savanadurga Hill. Savanadurga is surrounded by a thick forest of scrubs and dry deciduous vegetation.



Skandagiri :

Skandagiri is a hill with the ruins of a fort which dates back to the 18th century.a beautiful hill, It is situated approximately 70 kms  away from Bangalore city, off the Bellary Road (NH-7 Hyderabad-Bangalore Highway), 3 kms away from the village,Chikkaballapura.The peak with an altitude of about 1400 meters, is a  paradise for adventure freaks, and ideal for night treks, camping, and bird watching.



Skandagiri Peak has a ruined fort and the ruins of a temple with Nandi Bull statues. According that this small hill fort was surrendered to the British troops on 19 October 1791 and remained in The British hands until the peace treaty of 1792, which concluded the third Anglo-Mysore war. As per the local people, there are two caves through the hill  - one starts from the base and another one  somewhere midway, about 30 feet below , both leading to the temple at the top. Both remains unexplored yet and local people claim pythons in the caves swallowing their pets. It is said that there are 6 Samadhis in the cave.



Ranganatha swamy Betta Trek :

Ranganatha Swamy, also known as  Bilikal Hill is located at Konavaradoddi village, Maralavadi post, Kanakapura taluk and belongs to Bangalore Rural District. Trekking expeditions here last on a stretch of four kilometers and climb the mountain peak around.



Ranganatha Swamy Hill doesn’t have any ancient significance. According to the local villagers, it is named after a stone that emerged from ground atop of mountain, later named as God Ranganatha Swamy. Ranganatha Swamy Temple is one of the oldest temples found in nearby villages. The temple is open only on Saturdays and there will be a special ritual offered to god on that day.





Anthargange :


Anthargange is a destination that will surely please the adventurous. The name Anthargange actually refers to a perennial spring which lies on the hills to the east of the Kolar district in Karnataka.is 70 kms from Bangalore. The main tourist attractions include the volcanic rock formations and its numerous cave systems.






Ramdevara betta :

Ramdevara Betta & Revana Siddesh Betta is one of the famous trekking and pilgrim spot in Karnataka. The all time block buster Bollywood movie Sholay was shot here, and it houses the legends of Gabbar. Ramadevara Betta is a hill station is about 3066 feet above sea level and has steps on the western side part place. The Sri Rama temple is located at the top beside a small pond. It is on the famous Mysore highway very close to Ramanagar town. 


Ramanagara is the land of seven hills, namely Shivaramagiri, Yatirajagiri, Somagiri, Krishnagiri, Revanna Siddeshwara Betta, Jala Siddeshwara Betta and Sidilakallu Betta.Ramangaram is famous for many reasons like, historical temples, rock climbing, granite and stone quarries, industrial belt at Bidadi industrial area, silk cacoon industry and also is a great shooting location for action centered movies.

Shivahange : 

Shivagange is a mountain peak and Hindu pilgrimage on the way to Tumkur 54 km away from Bangalore on NH 4. The hillock has few temples atop and a statue of Nandi carved out of single stone is a beauty. Shivagange invites not just pilgrims but rock climbers and adventure lovers as well.

Kunti Betta :

Kunti Betta is a hillock near Pandavapura in Mandya District, approximately 130 km from Bangalore and 25 km from Mysore. Kuntibetta, known for its night treking is very rich historically too. "Pandavapura" means "Town of Panadavas". According to the history, the Pandavas are said to have ended their 14 year long here, hence the name ‘Pandavapura’.

  1. Nandi Hills It is located just 10 km from Chickballapur town and approximately 60 km from the city of Bangalore. You need to go towards Hyderabad Road, There is left Going ahead after International airport. It is refreshing to be there, and exiting to be driving/riding up in the hill. There are gardens, Tipu Sultans temporary residence, Fort, Ancient Temple but most importantly the breathtaking view from the hill.
  2. Wonderla located near Bidadi, 28 kilometers (17 mi) from Bangalore. You need to take the Mysore Road to reach there. It is an amusement Park with lots of interesting and exiting activities.
  3. Bannerghatta National Park It is situated 22 km south of Bangalore. You need to take Bannerghatta road in order to reach here.It is mainly a zoo but it is covered with greenery.Another attraction here is Lion & Tiger safari where vehicle will be provided to enter in to the restricted jungle area. You can see tigers,lions,bears,deer roaming around freely. There are BMTC/Volvo buses available to reach here from Majestic.
  4. Tipu Sultan Fort & Summer Palace It is located at the center of Old Bangalore near Kalasipalyam Bus Stand. This is a palace made by Kempe Gowda, founder of Bangalore. Later it was extended by Tipu Sultan. It is a museum where you can see Tipu's crown & used clothes. This monument gives you a touch of history.
  5. ISKCON TempleThis temple of Radha Krishna, located in North Bangalore. Chord Rd, Rajajinagar near yashwanthpur. It is a grand temple with modern architecture. The main attractions are evening arati, chants of "Hare Rama Hare Krishna"

  • Sankey Tank : It is situated in the western part of Bangalore in the middle of the suburbs of Malleshwaram, Vyalikaval and Sadashiva Nagar. This man made lake or tank is surrounded by gardens where you can see migratory birds & can opt for boating.
  • Vishwa Shanti Ashram : This ashram is located in the outskirts of Bangalore 17 kms, Tumkur highway (NH 4) near Nelamangala town.This peaceful calm ashram has Vishnu idols in all His avatar & big idols of rivers which are depicted as Goddess.
  • Lumbini Garden : It  is a public park on the banks of the Nagawara Lake in Bangalore.It is situated near Manyata Infotech IT park which is in the outer ring road between K.R Puram and Hebbal. It is a lake with gardens,boating, and some refreshments

 1. Dhaka


The Lalbagh Fort, A 17th century incomplete fort. Started by Prince Mohammed Azam and handed to then governor of Dhaka Shaista Khan for completation, who didn’t finish it because of death of her daughter Pari Bibi whose tomb is inside the fort. Hatirjheel is a large area situated at the heart of the capital city of Bangladesh, Dhaka. This was mainly created for public transportation. It was inaugurated on 2013


Liberation War Museum, Bangladesh established in 1996, commemorates heroic struggle of Bengalee nation for democracy and national rights which following genocide unleashed by military rulers of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, turned into armed struggle with emergence of Bangladesh as Secular Democratic State in Dec.

Bagakain Lake, also called Baga Lake or Boga Lake,The highest hill-enclaved lake of Bangladesh. This lake located in Ruma Upazila in the hill district Bandarban, Bangladesh. It is a natural sweet and deep water lake. Its height from sea level is nearly 2,000 feet.


Patenga is a beautiful sunset viewing sea beach near to Chittagong city. It is mostly popular for sunset and sunrise viewing. The beach converges both the nature and the port facilities at the same time. It is quite a sandy beach. It is located near the mouth of the Karnaphuli River. So, you can view both types of natural beauty. 


Dulahazra Safari Park. Located approximately a hundred kilometers outside of the tourist hotspot of Coxa Bazar, the Dulahazra Safari Park is perfectly located for visitors to enjoy day trips out to this wonderful conservation area. Dulahazra Safari Park was developed on an undulating landscape of around 2,224 acres of area at Chakaria Upazila in Cox's azar District, Bangladesh, some 107 km away from the port city, with an objective to create facilities for eco-tourism, research work and entertainment aside from conserving wild animals in a natural environment. Dulahazra Park is home to at east 4,000 animals of 165 species.

M C College was established in 1892 by a local nobleman called Raja Girish Chandra Roy. The college was named after his maternal grandfather, Murari Chand.Since then it has been playing important role in the education, cultural, and political spheres of greater Sylhet


Rema-Kalenga Wildlife Sanctuary is a protected forest and wildlife sanctuary in Bangladesh. This is a dry and evergreen forest and the second largest natural forest in Bangladesh after the Sundarbans.It is also the country's second largest wildlife sanctuary and the richest in terms of biodiversity. It is located in the Chunarughat of Habiganj district. Rema-Kalenga Wildlife Sanctuary was established in 1982 and later expanded in 1996.

4. Rajshahi

Puthia Temple Complex consists of a cluster of notable old Hindu temples in Puthia Upazila, Rajshahi Division, Bangladesh. Located 23 km to the east of Rajshahi city, it has the largest number of historic temples in Bangladesh.

Chhota Sona Masjid or Small Golden Mosque derives its name from the gilding that once graced the surface of the fifteen domes of this mosque. An inscription ascribes Wali Muhammad as the builder and it was erected during the reign of Sultan Husain Shah (1493-1519).


Founded in 1910 with the support of the maharaja of Dighapatia, the Varendra Research Museum is managed by Rajshahi University (RU), and is the oldest museum in the country. The predominantly British-style building has some interesting Hindu–Buddhist features, including a trefoil arch over the doorways and windows. A small rekha temple forms the roof.

Kaptai Lake: This large man made lake of Bangladesh spanning over an area of approximately 11000km2, was created as a reservoir when the Kaptai dam was built during the 1960s. The lake was created by flooding valleys and plain lands between numerous hills. This created a picturesque view as forested hills and plateaus rise from beneath the water. The government run tourism corporation and private operators offer Kaptai Lake Cruise Tours, which is worth of it. Other scenic spots are also accessible through the waterways.


Hanging Bridge: Hanging Bridge (Jhulonto Bridge in Bengali) is the landmark icon of Rangamati. It’s a popular tourist spot and a must go destination. Gagra waterfall is one of the greates combination of nature. This 335feet long bridge across a portion of the Kaptai lake is an icon of Rangamati.


Peda Ting Ting: A small island on the Kaptai Lake, few kilometres away from Rangamati. It is mostly known for its serenity. Peda Ting Ting Island is a very small and secluded island in the Rangamati Lake. There are a few tourist accommodation facilities here and a tiny restaurant run by the locals. It offers foods ranging from traditional to indigenous delicacies. Amongst the islands that can be visited by boat from Rangamati, is the Peda Ting Ting Island
